Daybreakers (2010) Movie Review – A Vampire Thriller Film

Well now I could breathe a sigh of relief. You can find people on the market in the wonderful world of film who still understand the idea of vampires and learn how to create a genuine yet also incredibly entertaining genre movie that STAYS TRUE TO THE IDEA they’re dealing with. I cannot even commence to describe how satisfying it had been to start to see the sun appear along with a vampire burn alive due to it, and that has been just in the initial five minutes. If the type had sparkled I’d have walked from the theater, and there’s something to become said for respecting decades worth of one’s peer’s work. Sure every author creates their very own interpretation from the vampire myth, and although people like Anne Rice get yourself a large amount of credit for hawaii of vampire legend ahead of Twilight (Let me give a raise your voice to whoever coined the phrase Twi-hards, incidentally), a fresh rash of films and tv shows have recently began to bend the guidelines from the long dormant cultural icons.

Combining the vampire aesthetic having a 28 Days Later inspired outbreak backstory, the Spierig Brothers (whose first feature Undead was hailed as a promise of greater what to come) have brought us a vision into the future from the vampire phenomenon, the logical continuation of an idea where the whole world becomes infected, the humans come in the minority (considering they’re with the capacity of dying from natural causes) and so are being farmed for blood. The only real problem is that this blood circulation is running out, and Ethan Hawke is really a scientist searching for a satisfactory substitute. What goes on next, is one hell of the wild ride, and when there’s anything general that may be said concerning the film all together, it’s it occasionally spends a lot of time having a great time, and inadequate time developing the storyplot.

Where in fact the film truly shines is within its visual style.
